ePortfolios for Contract Research Staff
The 'generic' portfolio has been configured for Contract Research Staff (CRS) in collaboration with the CRS Working Party for the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Newcastle University. Results of the initial piloting were presented at the SEDA conference in April 2004 (see presentation and abstract below).
The ePortfolio aims provides a facility for CRS to record and reflect on their achievements on an on-going basis to promote pro-active personal development and career planning. It was designed to increase recognition and promote the development of generic research and other transferable skills.
This was the first of a number of projects to show the wider applicability of the 'generic' ePortfolio developed for undergraduate Medicine as part of an FDTL-4 project.
